Prof. Dennis P. Tarnow is currently Clinical Professor of Periodontology and Director of Implant Education at Columbia School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Tarnow has a certificate in Periodontics and Prosthodontics and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology. He is a recipient of the Master Clinician Award from the American Academy of Periodontology and Teacher of the Year Award from New York University. Dr. Tarnow has a private practice in New York City, and has been honored with a wing named after him at New York University College of Dentistry. He has published over one hundred articles on perio-prothodontics and implant dentistry and has co-authored three textbooks including one in 2008 titled Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Tarnow has lectured extensively in the United States and internationally in over thirty countries.

Prof. John Sorensen recently returned to academics as Acting Professor, Department of Restorative Dentistry and Chair of the Clinical Systems Task Force, University of Washington. He is Director of Research for the Graduate Prosthodontics Program and teaches as both pre-doctoral and post-doctoral levels. Formerly he was founder and director of Pacific Dental Institute in Portland, Oregon, conducting clinical trials on fixed prosthodontic systems, dental materials testing and CE programs. He has been in full-time private prosthodontic practice for the last 9 years and for the last 3 years specializing in implant prosthodontics. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Prosthodontics. Previously he was The ODA Centennial Professor of Restorative Dentistry and Founder and Director, Dental Clinical Research Center at Oregon Health and Sciences University. Dr. Sorensen has published over 80 research articles and chapters, and over 130 research abstracts. He has given over 150 invited lectures in 31 countries.

Dr. Vincent Prestipino received his dental degree in 1979 from the University of Maryland and completed his postgraduate education in Prosthodontics in 1988 at New York University. He maintains a multi-specialty private practice in Bethesda, Maryland providing prosthetic, periodontal, oral maxillofacial surgery and implant dentistry. He was an undergraduate clinical professor at New York University and clinical professor in the post-graduate prosthodontic department at the University of Maryland. Dr. Prestipino holds membership in the American College of Prosthodontists, the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics and is a Fellow in the Academy of Osseointegration. He has lectured and published internationally and actively contributes to postgraduate education. His early involvement with esthetic implant dentistry has lead towards the development of several implant components, including the all ceramic implant abutment.
